Parks & Trails
Fiddyment Farm is defined by gently sloping topography, large open annual grasslands and the watersheds of Kaseberg Creek and Pleasant Grove Creek. Natural oak woodlands line portions of the creek corridors while clusters of seasonal wetlands, including vernal pools, are dispersed throughout the land. The creek corridors, woodlands and seasonal wetlands are incorporated into a Fiddyment Farm park system that includes permanent nature preserves and 14 developed parks.
The Fiddyment Farm community vision is one in which nature preserves blend naturally with areas planned for neighborhoods and community services such as schools and the fire station. Over one-third of the total community land is parks and nature preserves for all residents to enjoy.
The Fiddyment Farm park system includes:
- A 75-acre regional park adjacent to the community high school site will offer multiple sports-playing fields, suitable for sports like soccer, baseball, and football. The City of Roseville will build and maintain the regional park.
- The 91-acre Fiddyment Farm Community Park is located along the Kaseberg Creek watershed and will feature the expansive oak woodlands and native grasslands that exist today. The park will offer large picnic and lawn areas and trails along the scenic creek area.
- Four neighborhood parks, averaging seven acres in size, and six “pocket parks”, averaging three acres in size, serve the individual neighborhoods of Fiddyment Farm. These parks reinforce the neighborhood’s sense of openness. Each neighborhood park and pocket park will offer lawn areas, play structures and other unique features that will reflect the individuality of the neighborhood, while making them easily identifiable and memorable. These parks will commence with Phase I.
- More than 340 acres --20% of the total community-- have been set aside as permanent nature preserve, allowing residents to enjoy the natural splendor of the seasonal waterways, oak woodlands and grasslands.

In addition to parks, Fiddyment Farm includes a trail system for walking and biking:
- Trail System and Paseo Corridors: More than six miles of biking, walking and jogging trails run throughout the community and serve as the neighborhoods’ main link to schools, parks, shopping and nature preserves. Included within the community trail system are a series of Paseo corridors - a network of fully landscaped, off-street, open-space pathways, perfect for strolling on a sunny day. The Paseos front neighborhood streets, and can be easily accessed by all residents. The trail system at Fiddyment Farm connects to the City of Roseville’s 90-mile bike path network.
